This disclaimer forms part of the Terms and Conditions of Elythia Maternity. By using this platform, you confirm that you have read and understood this disclaimer in full.

 

1. For Informational and Educational Purposes Only

All content provided through Elythia Maternity – operated by Elythia Limited (Company No: 13145106) – including but not limited to written articles, guides, checklists, downloadable resources, live sessions, webinars, and 1:1 consultations, is intended solely for general informational and educational purposes.

Nothing on this platform constitutes, or should be construed as, medical advice, clinical guidance, diagnosis, or treatment. You must not rely on any content from Elythia Maternity as a substitute for professional medical advice from your own midwife, GP, obstetrician, consultant, or other qualified healthcare professional. Individual circumstances vary significantly; information that is general in nature may not be appropriate or safe for your specific situation.

 

2. Always Seek Professional Medical Advice

You should always seek the advice of a suitably qualified healthcare professional regarding any questions or concerns about your pregnancy, health, or the health of your baby. Never disregard, delay, or modify professional medical advice because of something you have read, heard, or accessed through this platform.

3. In an Emergency – Call 999

If you believe you or your baby are experiencing a medical emergency, call 999 immediately or attend your nearest Accident and Emergency (A&E) department. Do not contact Elythia Maternity, use the platform, or post in any community group in an emergency. No part of this platform – including live sessions, community groups, or 1:1 consultations – provides emergency care or real-time clinical monitoring.

 

4. No Practitioner–Patient Relationship

Content on this platform is currently created and delivered by Emanuela Rajakrishnen (known as Emma), a qualified midwife registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). In future, Elythia Limited may engage additional contributors, including other healthcare professionals or educators, at its sole discretion. Regardless of who creates or delivers content, your use of Elythia Maternity – including attending live sessions, accessing resources, or booking a 1:1 consultation – does not establish a midwife–patient, nurse–patient, doctor–patient, or any other healthcare provider–patient relationship with any individual involved.

Emma Rajakrishnen is not acting as your personal midwife or healthcare provider through this platform. She is acting in her capacity as an educator and information provider only.

 

5. NMC Registration and Scope

Emanuela Rajakrishnen is a registered midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). All content delivered by her through this platform is created in accordance with her professional obligations. However, the content is not delivered in a clinical capacity and does not constitute the exercise of midwifery practice as defined by the NMC.

 

6. Limitation of Liability for Health Outcomes

Elythia Limited and its director, employees, contractors, and contributors expressly disclaim any and all liability for any loss, harm, injury, or damage – physical, psychological, or otherwise – arising directly or indirectly from your reliance on any information provided through this platform. This includes, without limitation, any decisions made about your pregnancy, birth, or postnatal care based on content accessed through Elythia Maternity.

Elythia Limited holds public liability insurance. This disclaimer does not limit or exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.

 

7. WhatsApp Community Group

Our optional WhatsApp community group is a space for connection, community, and content feedback. It is not monitored in real time and must not be used to seek medical advice, raise urgent clinical concerns, or as a substitute for contact with your healthcare team. For clinical questions or concerns, please contact your NHS midwife, GP, or relevant healthcare provider directly.

 

8. Amendments

Elythia Limited reserves the right to amend, update, or replace this Medical Disclaimer at any time and without prior notice. The current version will always be published on our platform. Your continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the current disclaimer.
